WORKSHOPS IN DESIGNING AND ASSEMBLING LIGHTWIRE ART
WINTER 2012Light ’N Wire Productions presents hands on el-wire workshops that teach the basics of designing with Lightwire:
• The Basic El-wire class
This class introduces the techniques of soldering to attach Lightwire to lead wire and drivers allowing students to make complete, ready-to-use Lightwire accessories.
• The El-wire Intermediate Class
This class continues with the previously learned el-wire soldering techniques and works with a five-channel sequencer to introduce design concepts in sequencing and animating el-wire imagery.
- Both workshops are held at the Crucible Instructional Center in Oakland, California.
- Each workshop class is a one-day, four-hour session.
- Students receive a complete work kit, instructions and guidance in learning the basic
techniques of Lightwire assembly.
EL Wire Basic Workshop - Fall 2012 - Section A
learn basic soldering skills for assembling and attaching Lightwire to everything.
Prerequisite:
• Handy with tools and have an interest in electrically illuminated décor.
• A complete work kit is provided with the basic workshop.
