ART CAR FAQ
(For general Lightwire information, please use FAQ link above.)
You can use as much as you want. The kit driver supports up to 45 feet of Lightwire. Longer Lightwire lengths require more powerful drivers—this would be a custom application.
HOW DO I ATTACH LIGHTWIRE TO CAR?
There are any number of ways to attach Lightwire to a vehicle. Depending on where its being attached, you may hot glue it down, wire tie it to art frame, mold it into a fiberglass finish.
We offer a plug and play solution of connecting the main Lightwire lead wire to an auto adopter cigarette lighter connector. Plug in and turn on.
Other power techniques include wiring direct to the car's electrical system,
or connect Lightwire directly to car battery, or if it is a temporary lighting situation relying on DC batteries to power the Lightwire.
CAN I USE MULTIPLE LIGHTWIRES IN DIFFERENT COLORS ON A SINGLE DESIGN?
Yes, Our Lightwire art car kits come with standard gauge High Brightness Lightwire, but depending on your design, you can mix & match different Lightwire colors and gauges into a single design.
WHAT KIND OF LIGHTWIRE EFFECTS CAN I PLAN FOR?
To make Lightwire sign and dance, you can present the following:
• Display it as a steady always on light and/or it can also blink.
• With a sequencer in place, Lightwire can be animated with 3, 5, or 10 channel graphic patterns.
• We offer sound-activated drivers so Lightwire will pulse to your overloud music pouring from your car speakers.
CAN I MIX LEDS AND/OR ROPE LIGHTS WITH LIGHTWIRE?
All niche lighting will work on an art car, lighting must either be DC with self-contained batteries or be converted to plug into an auto adopter cigarette lighter connector.
